Nine years ago when Ken Choong arrived in New Zealand from Malaysia, no one would have predicted – least of all Ken himself, that his projected future contained a highly successful real estate business in the eastern bays, a wife and family and a genuine love of his newly adopted country.
With a background that has included computer gaming technology, network marketing, and digital mobile account management, Ken has a Diploma in Marketing and Advertising and a Bachelor of Business Marketing from AUT in Auckland. His entrepreneurial bent was utilised to good effect when he and his team won the New Zealand Students in Free Enterprise awards and represented New Zealand at the global competition in Singapore
Two years after arriving here, Ken fulfilled one of his primary goals – to live in the eastern bays. Working for Vodafone Mission Bay, Ken quickly rose through the ranks and built lifelong relationships with many of the bay’s residents who trusted him with the management and service of all their mobile technology requirements. His store was consistently ranked one of the top offices in the country and his skills in staff coaching and sales management did not go unnoticed.
